Coaching sessions take place over the phone, over video (e.g. Skype) or in person. Coaching session will be tailored to your needs as each person is unique. a coaching programme will consist of 1.5 hours’ discovery session followed by four to six, one-hour sessions. Each session will begin by discussing your goals, talking about how you are feeling and what is on your mind. Together, you will explore your challenges and devise actions to practise in between sessions

Coaching for Teens

Raising a teenager is tough! It's a time of dramatic change and growth while juggling conflicting feelings and messages when trying to connect socially, emotionally and creatively within a scheduled and pressurised world.

Setting time aside to help foster healthy human relationships and personal development is low on the priority list of schools even when young people spend most of their time in this environment. Teachers work extremely hard and are responsive to academic standards and are supported by over stretched school counsellors spread much too thinly across a high volume of young people.

Given these constraints young people are unable to have a consistent and accessible outlet for their stresses and anxieties. The expectations they have on themselves, as well as the pressures of fitting in, growing up and planning a future can make it hard for them to cope. Teen coaching can help young people develop life skills and learn how to manage themselves through these turbulent years, this can include:

  • building confidence
  • setting and achieving goals
  • managing stress
  • discussing difficult issues
  • help improve family dynamics
  • helping troubled teenagers get back on track

A teen coach provides a space for a teen to vent freely and confidentially about things on their mind. A teen coach is not a stand in for parents and carers, they are there to provide a space for impartial, trustworthy support without judgement.


Coaching for Parents

Raising young people is a beautiful experience with its high and lowlights! As individuals grow relationships can take on challenging twists and turns. It's at these times when support can be so valuable in learning new strategies and discovering tools to navigate through parenting challenges. Coaching can guide this process by helping a parent get in touch with their core values and aligning these with one another. The coaching process is energising and empowering as well as solutions-orientated, encouraging non-judgemental dialogue between parent and child. It helps in some of the following ways:

Coaching One to One

Coaching one to one or executive coaching may address for example specific personal/professional projects, transitions in life and relationships. Coaching creates a space to explore what is happening right now and discover any obstacles or challenges that may be occurring and then selecting a course of action that is aligned towards where an individual wants to be.

Coaching for Groups

This approach is mainly used within organisations and community groups looking to bring about conversations within a group context.  The sessions are carried out in a shared space focused on opening up a dialogues and deepening awareness around key issues.
